What To Expect
We can’t wait to welcome you to our office! Upon your arrival at Stellar Orthodontics, please check in with our receptionist and help yourself with drinks and snacks.
Some initial diagnostic records including photos, x-rays, and digital impressions may be taken. Dr. Stella Dong will then conduct a thorough orthodontic examination and explain all aspects of treatment one-on-one with the patient and the family.
We will review all the fees associated with treatment and the financial options available to you. It is our goal to provide the highest quality of orthodontic treatment that is affordable to you and your family!
If orthodontic treatment is needed, we will take additional records and start treatment right away so you don’t have to take time out of your busy schedule to come back for another appointment!
Can you get braces on the same day as your consultation?
Yes, you can! For any type of braces you choose – whether it’s metal braces or clear ceramic braces – you can get braces or a scan done on the same day as your consult.
What about Invisalign?
If you choose Invisalign or clear aligners, we can take quick digital scans using the digital scanner. We’ll then send your scans off to have your custom clear aligners made!
Requirements for Same Day Braces:
- Complete the free smile exam with Dr. Stella
- Have a dental cleaning completed within the last 6 months to one year
- No pending restorations prior to starting orthodontic treatment
- Be ready with your insurance information and your initial down payment
The Purpose of the Initial Examination is to Answer:
- Do I need orthodontic treatment?
- When is a good time to begin treatment?
- What treatment is best for me?
- How long does treatment take?
- How often do I come in for an appointment?
- How much does the treatment cost?
What is the Cost of the Treatment?
The cost of treatment depends upon the severity of the patient’s problem. The treatment coordinator will discuss fees and payment options, during the initial exam, if treatment is required. We have different payment plans to suit your budget and work with most PPO insurances. We offer in-house zero-interest financing plans and work hard to make orthodontics affordable.
What Does my Investment Include?
- Orthodontic records including photos, X-rays, and a digital scan
- Comprehensive evaluation of your orthodontic needs
- Active treatment, which includes all types of braces or Invisalign, office visits, emergency visits, and procedures performed in the office.
- Set of retainers
- Custom, expert care
What Doesn’t my Investment Include?
- Work performed at other dental offices outside our orthodontic practice.
- If an accident or injury occurs during treatment that results in TMJ (Temporo-Mandibular-Joint, or your jaw) complications, additional orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, etc, a fee adjustment may be required to complete treatment under these unusual circumstances.
Assignment of Benefits
- We accept assignment of benefits for most insurance plans. By doing this, the family’s out-of-pocket expense is substantially lower. If we do not accept assignment of benefits from your plan, we will be happy to file claims so that the insured can be reimbursed directly. Should there be any change in your policy prior to full payment of the insurance benefit, please contact our office immediately so adjustments may be made to your contract.
Office Hours
- We understand you live a busy life and we value your time. That’s why we are open Monday to Friday and select Saturdays to fit your lifestyle and family needs. If you have any questions throughout your treatment, please feel free to contact us by phone, or anytime via text and e-mail. If you contact us after hours, we will get back to you the next business day.
- It is our goal to see you, on time, for your appointment. For us to maintain a schedule that runs on time, we request that patients arrive on time to avoid delays, as the day progresses. Your cooperation and consideration with appointments are greatly appreciated by our office and the patients who are seen after your appointment.
